ASB

Founded in 1867, the Alabama School for the Blind (ASB) provides traditional and nontraditional programs and educational experiences for children ages three to 21 who are blind or who have low vision as residential or day students.  ASB has won notable acclaim for the academic success and athletic championship ability of our students while Independent Living experiences and assistive technology build self confidence!  We also provide assistance to students with vision loss in public schools all across the state through our Instructional Resource Center for the Blind.  To order books in Braille or large print or other material from the Instructional Resource Center for the Blind, please click here.
