The goal of the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind is to provide
our students with effective, innovated, individualized education and
health care. This goal starts with the admissions process and continues
throughout their stay at AIDB’s four schools, the Alabama School for the
Blind, the Alabama School for the Deaf , E.H. Gentry and the Helen
Keller School of Alabama.
Located in the historic Dowling Building, on the Alabama School for the
Deaf campus AIDB’s Health and Clinical Services provides students with a
wide range of health services including; audiology, nursing, low
vision, psychology, physical therapy, occupational therapy and senior
