MY HEART'S AT HELEN KELLER
When I came to Helen Keller,
I was blind, I could not see;
I was deaf, no one heard
or tried to talk to me.
My teachers gave me love
And worked so patiently;
That when I let them in,
They became a part of me.
My heart's at Helen Keller,
It was there they set me free;
Yes, my heart's at Helen Keller,
Where I learned to be me.
I began to see the beauty
In the world surrounding me;
How the things that God has made
Seem to live in harmony.
And now I know the truth
Of what they did for me.
My Helen Keller home
gave me hope and dignity.
Oh, my heart's at Helen Keller,
It was there they set me free;
Yes, my heart's at Helen Keller,
Where I learned to be me.
