Sue Kay Kneifel, Executive Director, Special Projects
Sue Kay Kneifel is the Executive Director of Special Projects and AIDB‑North Campus (AIDBN) in Decatur, Alabama, for the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind (AIDB). She brings more than 25 years of experience in counseling and case management and over 20 years in leadership roles serving individuals who are Deaf, Blind, and DeafBlind, with a strong focus on vocational rehabilitation, accessibility, and inclusion. Kneifel has held senior leadership positions with the Arizona Center for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, Arizona’s Vocational Rehabilitation Services, and several state and national advisory boards. Fluent in American Sign Language, she is highly knowledgeable in disability law, funding sources, grant management, and workforce transition services. Through Special Projects, she supports AIDB’s mission through collaborative partnerships with national and federal organizations, extending AIDB’s impact across the Southeast and beyond.

Dontavious D. Little, Sr. (Donte), Assistant Director of Special Projects
Dontavious D. Little, Sr. (Donte) is the Assistant Director of Special Projects for the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind (AIDB). A 2004 graduate of the Alabama School for the Blind, he brings more than a decade of experience in education and administration serving individuals who are Deaf, Blind, and DeafBlind. Mr. Little has held a variety of instructional and leadership roles at AIDB and supports federal partnerships and program expansion at the AIDB‑North Campus in Decatur, Alabama. He holds an MBA from Troy University, a Master’s in Business Education from Auburn University, and a Master of Arts in Special Education with Visual Impairment Certification from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Actively engaged in professional and community leadership, he is also the Pastor of First Missionary Baptist Church of Anniston, Alabama, and a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated.

Susie Thomas, Trainer
Susie has been serving as a trainer since the inception of the Center for Assistive Technology Training program. Prior to working with the CATT program, Susie worked as a secondary science and English teacher for ten years, a Certified Teacher for the Visually Impaired for fifteen years, and a Certified Orientation and Mobility Specialist for fourteen years. Additionally, Susie served as the Lead Outreach Provider for AIDB Outreach for a year and a half. Among her formidable experience, Susie is also a Certified Braille Transcriptionist and a National Board Certified Teacher.
Jill Dunaway, Trainer
Jill Dunaway currently serves as an Assistive Technology Trainer/Specialist at the Center for Assistive Technology Training (CATT). Prior to joining CATT, she taught assistive technology at Alabama School for the Blind (ASB) for fifteen years. Ms. Dunaway is a Certified Teacher of the Visually Impaired as well as a Certified Braille Transcriber. Additionally, she holds certifications in ZoomText, JAWS from Vispero, and NVDA from nvacces. She also serves on the curriculum committee for the Quorum Programming language, a computer programming language specifically designed for users who are blind or visually impaired. A braille reader and screen reader user herself, Ms. Dunaway likes to say that assistive technology and braille literacy are keys to independence.

Jennifer Fuller, Trainer
Jennifer has been with AIDB for 10 years. Most recently she worked as a SPED classroom teacher at the Alabama School for the Blind. Jennifer is a certified TVI and obtained her Masters degree in Collaborative Special Education. She also holds a Bachelors degree in Psychology, with a minor in Forensic Psychology. Jennifer is a wife of 23 years and has two sons and two dogs.
