Since stepping into the position earlier this spring, Morrow has been working closely with teams across AIDB to enhance clinical services and strengthen collaboration.

Morrow brings over two decades of clinical experience and a deep understanding of AIDB’s mission and community. Her journey with AIDB began in 2001 when she served as a substitute nurse at the Helen Keller School of Alabama. That early connection sparked a passion that has now come full circle.

“Health and Clinical Services is an area where multiple disciplines, clinicians and service providers collaborate to help those we serve flourish in a multifaceted setting,” said Morrow. “AIDB captured my heart in 2001, when I began working at the Helen Keller School of Alabama as a substitute nurse. I am thrilled and honored to be named Executive Director of Health and Clinical Services. I look forward to developing and expanding the clinical programs to better serve our students, clients and consumers.”

Morrow previously served AIDB for 14 years as Director of Nursing and Dental Services, where she managed medical and dental care for more than 400 children and adults. She supervised a team of nurses and healthcare staff, developed institute-wide health policies, coordinated medical care and screenings, and partnered with state agencies to shape school nursing standards. Her work contributed significantly to the development of new health infrastructure across AIDB’s campuses and training programs for staff and students.

"Mrs. Morrow’s leadership as Executive Director of Health and Clinical Services brings a wealth of knowledge and experience that enhances every aspect of our department,” said Andy Keith, Chief Education Programs Officer, AIDB. “Traci leads by example, working when needed day or night. Traci truly is committed to making sure AIDB provides top notch services for the staff and students.”

A board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-BC) and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), Morrow earned two Master of Science in Nursing degrees from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Her career has included roles with AltaPointe Health Systems and TapestryHealth, where she provided psychiatric care, supervised clinical teams, and developed patient-centered treatment plans across multiple states.

In her new role, Morrow will lead AIDB’s multidisciplinary Health and Clinical Services Division, overseeing nursing, dental, psychiatric, and wellness initiatives that support the physical and mental health of students served by AIDB.
