Mark Richenderfer Named Chief Financial Officer at Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind
Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind (AIDB) is proud to announce the appointment of Mark Richenderfer as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Richenderfer brings more than 25 years of diverse leadership experience in finance, supply chain, operations, and strategic planning across both domestic and international markets. Throughout his career, he has built a reputation for driving organizational transformation, streamlining operations, and leading high-performing teams to achieve outstanding results.
“Mr. Richenderfer joins AIDB with a remarkable depth of experience across both the public and private sectors, including his most recent leadership role in a successful family-owned business. His professional background aligns well with our mission, as AIDB is deeply rooted in supporting individuals, families, and communities across Alabama. I am confident that Mark will quickly recognize the life-changing impact of our work, and his expertise will be instrumental as we continue to strengthen and expand our services,” said Dennis Gilliam, Ed.D., President, AIDB.
Prior to joining AIDB, Richenderfer served as CFO and Head of Strategic Planning for DSLD Land Management, where he led revenue growth of 250% and implemented key operational improvements resulting in a 30% increase in income. His background also includes executive roles with organizations such as Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Perrigo Company, and Infosys, where he developed global supply chain strategies and led multimillion-dollar cost-saving initiatives. He has extensive experience working with private equity-backed startups, as well as managing financial operations for billion-dollar divisions and acquisitions.

Richenderfer holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance from Drexel University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Villanova University. He is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt and Lean Sensei, and holds multiple APICS certifications in supply chain and inventory management.
