Under the general direction of the Director of Human Resources, the Title IX Coordinator manages, supervises, and administers the daily operations of AIDB’s Title IX program in compliance with the Educational Amendments Act of 1972.  Key duties include managing the receipt, intake, investigation, resolution, and reporting of formal and informal discrimination complaints in compliance; developing strategic plans to proactively educate staff and students on Title IX and to prevent acts of discrimination and harassment based on sex, gender identity or sexual orientation; and delivering equitable outcomes to support students and employees.   The Coordinator develops, recommends, and implements appropriate policies, procedures, operations, and training programs for students, faculty and staff related to Title IX compliance. The Coordinator will ensure that AIDB policies and procedures are updated and aligned with applicable state and federal laws and regulations. The Coordinator will also be responsible for providing training to and coordinating with other AIDB administrators who will have roles in any Title IX processes (the Title IX team). As Director of Employee Relations, this role ensures compliance with all AIDB Human Resource (Personnel) policies, training related to those policies and internal investigations involving alleged infraction(s) of these policies.  This role also partners with administrators and managers in issuing any necessary instruction or discipline to staff regarding violations of these policies. 



You will play a vital role to ensure that AIDB has compliant policies and procedures in alignment with Title IX and federal and state civil rights laws and regulations. This role ensures that AIDB is engaged in education and training of staff and students to raise awareness of sexual harassment, gender identity, and sexual orientation discrimination, and to prevent this harassment or discrimination from occurring.  This role will ensure staff and students receive training about the investigation process and the ability to report instances of discrimination to the appropriate AIDB personnel. This role is responsible for investigation of all complaints alleging discriminatory behavior under Title VII, Title IX or AIDB Human Resources (Personnel) policies.  This role involves constant and effective collaboration with administrators to appropriately investigate and resolve any staff disputes pertaining to these policies.  Also, the role develops, recommends, and implements appropriate policies, procedures, operations and training programs for students, faculty and staff related to Title IX and discrimination, harassment and bullying policies.  


  • Develops, implements, coordinates and conducts educational programs and initiatives designed to educate and support faculty, staff, and students regarding their rights and, where applicable, obligations under Title IX.
  • Oversees, coordinates and ensures investigations of reports and complaints of sexual misconduct are adequate, reliable, timely, confidential and impartial; reviews proposed sanctions for any sexual misconduct before they are imposed to ensure that they are reasonably calculated to stop the sexual misconduct and prevent its recurrence.
  • Trains, promotes and enforces internal procedures and controls, and oversees resolutions of complaints under Title VII and Title IX.
  • Investigates personnel conflicts and allegations of infractions of any AIDB Human Resources (Personnel) Policies or Procedures, working with administration for proposed resolutions and any appropriate discipline.
  • Works with the Title IX Investigator on allegations of sexual misconduct.
  • Oversees the Title IX tab/section on AIDB’s website, ensuring that all information, forms, and processes are accessible, in compliance with Title IX regulations and are kept up-to-date.
  • Serves as the custodian of record for all documents related to complaints, investigations, and resolutions of complaints of sex-based discrimination, sexual harassment (including sexual assault, dating violence, domestic violence, and stalking), and other forms of sexual harassment and ensures records are maintained confidentially as required by state and federal law.
  • Ensures ongoing compliance with Title IX by collecting and analyzing data, writing comprehensive reports and maintaining records of investigations to monitor for cultural or climate issues related to discrimination.
  • Provides educational programs regarding discrimination and sexual harassment prevention.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of Human Resources.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Public Administration, Business, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • A working knowledge of current laws, regulations, and guidance related to Title IX in public schools, including Title IX guidance provided by the U.S, Department of Education (ED) Office for Civil Rights (OCR).
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in Title IX compliance
  • Ability to discuss sensitive topics with a variety of populations.
  • Ability to develop and present educational programs and/or workshops.
  • Ability to provide effective and appropriate advice and expertise to all levels within the AIDB community.
  • Ability to organize resources and establish priorities.
  • Ability to operate calmly and effectively under stressful conditions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Conflict Resolution and/or mediation skills.
  • Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports in a timely manner.
  • Ability to use independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information.
  • Must have demonstrated knowledge of Title VII and Title IX laws and requirements.
  • Ability to foster a cooperative work environment.
  • Must obtain a sign language proficiency of Survival within the first thirty-six (36) months of employment.
  • Upon offer of employment, the applicant must submit to a fingerprint background check at an agency designated and paid by AIDB.



  • Master’s degree in student affairs, higher education administration, social work, psychology or related area or a juris doctorate degree.
  • Previous Title IX training, including certification. 
  • Previous experience conducting internal investigations.


SALARY: $53,873 - $93,151   Scale A1 Rank 04

Direct deposit is required. Monthly Payroll

This is an exempt position, and is not subject to overtime or compensatory provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
