  • Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind Foundation’s inaugural event raised over $38,000 for the Marianna Greene Henry Special Equestrian Program! 

AIDB Hosts Convocation

  • The Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind kicked off the 2023-2024 school year with Convocation, a pep rally for teachers, administration and support personnel as they start a new school year.

14th Annual Christmas in July

  • The 14th annual Christmas in July fundraising event was held by Pier 59 in Vincent, AL on July 15, 2023. This year's event raised over $106,000 to provide Christmas gifts for students at Alabama School for the Blind, Alabama School for the Deaf, and Helen Keller School of Alabama.

AIDB Celebrates 2023 Graduates

  • Since 1858, Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind (AIDB) has provided superior education for students who are deaf, blind, deafblind and multidisabled in order to prepare them to reach their limitless potential. The 2023 graduation exercises at AIDB were held on Thursday, May 25 beginning at 10:00 a.m. in Hawkins Chapel with the annual Baccalaureate Service. The speaker was Allen D. Cope, Deputy General Counsel, Honda North America, Inc and President, AIDB Foundation.

Shining the Stars on AIDB

  • The Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind (AIDB) Foundation hosted its inaugural “Shining the Stars on AIDB” this spring at Red Mountain Theatre in Birmingham. Thanks to generous donors, the event raised over $100,000 to support AIDB’s programs throughout Alabama!
