Mission & Philosophy

About Us

The Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind Foundation was created in 1980 to encourage private support for charitable, educational, and training programs at Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind.

The AIDB Foundation accomplishes its mission by providing funding for a vast array of programs and projects at Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind, including major construction and renovation of facilities, development of new and expanding programs, and experiences in professional development, academics, student life, outreach, and the arts. Hawkins Chapel and the Marianna Greene Henry Special Equestrian Arena are also funded through the Foundation. Endowment opportunities exist in seven major areas including Presidential Endowment, Academic, Student Life, Learning Resources, Institute Outreach, Human Resources, and Marianna Greene Henry Special Equestrian Program. Together we are Deaf. Blind. Limitless!
