The Audiology Department at the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind (AIDB) provides a full range of comprehensive audiological services to students across all three of our K-12 programs: the Alabama School for the Deaf (ASD), the Alabama School for the Blind (ASB), and the Helen Keller School (HKS). We also proudly serve AIDB employees and retirees.
In addition to on-campus care, we extend our expertise beyond AIDB through outreach and collaboration. Our team offers hearing screenings, consultations, and training to public school personnel working with Deaf and hard-of-hearing students. Through the AIDB Admissions Department, we provide outreach audiological evaluations for families and students exploring enrollment options.
To further support underserved communities across Alabama, our mobile Educational Audiology Van travels statewide to deliver essential services where they are most needed, ensuring access to hearing healthcare for all.
