Morrow Named Director of Nursing

Traci Morrow smiles to camera while wearing a white coat.Traci Morrow, CRNP has been named the Director of Nursing for the Alabama Institute for Deaf and Blind (AIDB) Health and Clinical Services Department. 

Morrow previously served as the Director of Nursing/Dental and Family Nurse Practitioner at AIDB until 2017 at which time she became the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for AltaPointe Health Systems North Region. Most recently, Morrow served as the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for TapestryHealth in Stratford, Connecticut. 

"We are thrilled to welcome Traci Morrow back to AIDB as the Director of Nursing,” said Karissa Twymon, Executive Director of AIDB’s Health and Clinical Services. “Traci's extensive experience, exceptional leadership and deep commitment to our mission make her the perfect fit to lead our nursing team. Her return marks an exciting chapter for AIDB, and we are confident that under her guidance, our nursing program will continue to thrive and provide outstanding care and support to our community."

"I am happy to be back at home with my AIDB family,” added Morrow. 

Morrow earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Auburn University and a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialty in Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She also holds a Master of Science in Nursing with a specialty in family Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
