    Hello from the Helen Keller School Library! 

    My name is Beverly Brown.  I am the reading teacher and as you can see I love Dr. Seuss.  I dress up like the "Cat in the Hat" for the students each year during "Read Across America".  My students read their accelerated reading(AR) books through sign language, braille, or large print.  After the book is read, the students take their AR test for comprehension using the online tests for their book.  Points and reading certificates are earned based on the reading level of each book.
