NRSC @ AIDB offers a wide range of workshops, all at no cost to you or your school. We can provide workshops in-person or virtually, depending on your needs. If necessary, interpreting services can be arranged.

Based on DeafTEC’s Project Access, this workshop helps educators optimize teaching for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students through practical strategies. It also provides extensive online resources to help modify teaching behaviors for greater access to learning, benefiting all students.

Promoting Success in Math
This workshop equips educators with effective strategies to teach math to Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students at the secondary and post-secondary levels.

Similar to our math workshop, this session provides strategies for teaching science to Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students in secondary and post-secondary classrooms.

Cybersecurity
Explore essential cybersecurity skills and concepts tailored for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing students. This workshop is designed to enhance digital literacy and security awareness.

Robotics
Robotics integrates STEM learning into the classroom by teaching critical skills like problem-solving, teamwork, and self-advocacy. Our workshops cater to teachers and students (grades 6 and up), with flexible session lengths to fit your needs. We also offer teacher workshops on incorporating robotics into lesson plans.
- STEM Labs for MS/HS Classrooms
- Starting a Robotics Team/Introduction to Robotics Competitions
- Programming (Levels I-IV)
- Engineering Concepts (Drive Types, Gears, Lifts, Manipulators)
- Game Strategy (based on the current year’s competition)

Coding Activities
NRSC offers online coding activities with instructions available upon request. Videos are in American Sign Language (ASL), with voice-overs and captions, ensuring full accessibility for all participants.

Mechatronics
SolidWorks CAD and CAE programs are the focus of this workshop, which offers two options for students to explore.

The NRSC @ AIDB STEM Bus brings STEM experiences directly to your school! Enjoy hands-on activities in drones, engineering, robotics, programming, and video game design.

STEM Interpreting
This workshop helps interpreters develop skills to interpret STEM subjects, focusing on understanding the concepts behind STEM terms rather than rote memorization. Collaborative breakout sessions allow interpreters to engage deeply with STEM topics.
